EXTENSION OF RENT REDUCTION FOR SEPTEMBER AND OPTIONAL REDUCTION OF AT LEAST 30%!

The drama of real estate owners seems that it will not have a short end, especially when the reduction of rents of main and student residences returns. Despite the strong objections of POMIDA, public and non-public, to a new bill by the Ministry of of Finance, which was submitted to the Parliament, includes important provisions of the Ministry of Finance’s competence, which refer, among other things, to the reduction of rents, professional and residential, as well as to measures to support landlords, both when this reduction is mandatory and when it is voluntary (optional) until 31.12, according to POMIDA’s proposal, but without yet specifying which activity codes (CA) each category concerns.

THE BILL FOR THE MODERNIZATION OF ZONING AND CITY PLANNING LEGISLATION IN PUBLIC CONSULTATION!

The Ministry of the Interior’s bill for the modernization of urban planning and spatial planning legislation was given a public consultation, which was presented at a press conference by the Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Planning Mr. Dimitris Oikonomou and the General Secretary of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment Mr. Efthimios Bakoyannis.

THREE-MONTH EXTENSION FOR DECLARATION OF VOLUNTEERS AND EXTENSION OF LICENSES UNTIL THE END OF 2022!

A three-month extension for the regularization of all arbitrary constructions, until September 30, 2020, is given by the Ministry of Environment and Energy with a relevant amendment, submitted to Parliament by the Minister of Environment and Energy,Kostis Hatzidakis, responding to the relevant POMIDA memorandum, in the draft law “Promotion of electrification” to be voted on in the Plenary Session of the Parliament on Monday, July 20. The previous deadline was June 30.

MINISTRY OF MINISTRY: THE REDUCTION OF PROFESSIONAL RENTS FOR TOURISM, TRANSPORT FOCUS BUSINESSES IS EXTENDED FOR TWO MONTHS!

According to a ministerial decision signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Apostolos Vesyropoulos, the measure of reducing rents by 40% is extended for the months of July and August. The government added the catering industry to the category of reductions, satisfying with this decision a basic demand of the operators of the catering industry affected by the pandemic, without any consultation with the side of property owners.

CORRECTION AND THE USER AREA ON THE KEDE PLATFORM!

The electronic platform for submitting corrections of the square of KEDE (https://tetragonika.govapp .gr/)in order for the citizens to be able to benefit from the beneficial provision as well as for the Municipalities to process these statements effectively, it continues its operation and the participation of the applications for the correction of the square meters is huge, a percentage of around 35%.

DRAFT LAW TO EXTEND RENT REDUCTION TO THE MONTH OF MAY!

The rent reduction is extended for the month of May 2020 in accordance with a draft law submitted to the Parliament for a vote, with the title “Sanction a) of 13.4.2020 P.N.P “Measures to deal with the ongoing consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and other urgent provisions” (Α΄ 84) and b) of 1.5.2020 P.N.P. “Further measures to deal with the ongoing consequences of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and the return to social and economic normality” (A΄ 90) and other provisions”, which includes important provisions of the competence of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor as well as of other Ministries

THE DECISION AND THE RENT REDUCTION RESPONSIBILITY DECLARATION FORM!

The Minister of Labor, Mr. Yannis Vroutsis, today signed two ministerial decisions which enable the implementation of the government’s recent initiatives to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on workers and businesses:

1) The special purpose compensation for employees amounting to 800 euros as well as

2) the support of workers-businesses through the reduction of rents (main residence – professional).

THE NEW TAX LAW HAS BEEN PUBLISHED. WHAT DOES IT FORECAST FOR PROPERTIES!

The new Tax Law 4646/2019 of the Ministry of Finance was published in Official Gazette 201/A/2019.

In as regards real estate and construction, the new law suspends the imposition of VAT on the sales and consideration of real estate by builders for the three-year period 2020-2022, for which it also suspends the imposition of capital gains tax on real estate sales.
