POMIDA: THE TAX DEDUCTION OF LOST RENT IS INSUFFICIENT AND SHORTCART!

 

The amendment establishing an inadequate and literally narrow-minded tax credit for landlords who have lost and continue to lose a state-mandated 40% of revenue from rents, it obviously does not satisfy the legitimate expectations and real needs of the country’s property owners, nor does it restore the terrible blow that the real estate market and private real estate in our country received, when it was trying to get back on its feet!

ANNOUNCEMENT-POMIDA PROTEST FOR THE CONTINUOUS RENT REDUCTION!

POMIDA receives strong protests every day from outraged property owners from all over the country, who, instead of establishing a rent subsidy where it is really needed, see the same “burden truck” being extended to their burden with no visible end and without any substantial counterweight in their favor, and they to be treated as scapegoats – second-class citizens by the government of a party that always proclaimed that “housewives” are the real “backbone” of society.

HOW IN 2010 RENT ADJUSTMENT HAPPENED WITHOUT TODAY’S MESS!

10.5.2010.  With the intervention of POMIDA to the Minister of Development Ms. Luka Katseli, the imposition of a forced reduction in professional rents was prevented. During the meeting to which we were invited at the Ministry of Finance, instead of imposing a forced reduction in rents, it was decided to make an immediate joint appeal by the Minister of Development and the President of POMIDA to the property owners to adjust the rents to the new conditions of the economic crisis, so as not to legislative regulation is needed, which would open the door to a new tenement.
