TheStr. Paradias during the meeting assured the Minister that property owners will respond positively, and the market and society will resolve the matter much faster and more fairly than any forced regulation.
Indeed the joint televised appeal was made immediately after the end of the meeting. After Ms. Luka Katseli stressed the need to readjust the leases to the new conditions, Mr. Paradias told the television crews present verbatim the following:
“It is the duty of all of us to support traders and small and medium businesses across the country. Therefore, each owner is doing and will do whatever they deem necessary so that no existing tenant loses their store. Any necessary adjustment to the rents paid today will be made so that no professional is at risk of losing their professional home”.
In addition, the Mr. Paradias pointed out once again the need to reduce the objective values of professional and industrial real estate, as well as the commerciality coefficients.
This appeal had an almost universal appeal, and thus the socialist government of Papandreou simply solved the issue without “opening a nose”!!! THIS is what we proposed in time to the current government, without UNFORTUNATELY being listened to…Today, even now, why isn’t something like this done, so that the current “crap” doesn’t drag on anymore? It’s never too late!!!
