POMIDA communicated in a letter to the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the AADE the existing outstandings for the month of August 2021 of the rent reduction process as well as its proposals for solving the individual remaining problems of compensation for property owners.

The letter points out the need for the immediate offsetting of the unclaimed remaining compensations from the new income and ENFIA debts of the owners, opening the platform for March-October 2020 declarations, issuing the decision for the August KAD, paying the July 2021 compensations, a few days extension of the deadline for COVID declarations that expires on 27.8, adding the “Active Leases” option to the AADE application so that it immediately emerges for which old leases must be declared their termination, and finally, in the “Results of Processing of COVID Declarations” application, the image is restored of the 2020 COVID declarations, to facilitate taxpayers in the preparation of their tax declarations.

POMIDA sent a letter to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the KEDE, with which it requests the immediate re-operation of the KEDE municipal fees declaration platform, as well as the resolution of the following important problems concerning the OTA and private real estate:

The immediate and permanent reopening of the KEDE online platform, as a permanent channel of communication and service for property owners in the country and of Hellenism Abroad with the Municipalities where their assets are located, to which should be added all other services that can be operated online.

POMIDA requested in a letter to the political leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the AADE that the remaining outstanding issues from the 2020 rent reductions be dealt with, in order for the submission of income tax returns to be seamless.

The text of the letter is as follows:

Each summer for the past several decades, we witness (and sometimes fall victim to) an annual recurring scenario, that of college freshmen and their families, anxiously seeking housing in another and usually unknown city, immediately after the announcement of the university entrance exam results, through tenements stuck outside and around them. The existing student residences are known to be insufficient, which is why the burden of solving the student housing problem was borne by the private initiative. For this reason, POMIDA sent a letter to the competent Ministers with its proposals…

POMIDA was duly informed that by a provision of law that will be included in a bill of the Ministry of the Interior, a few months extension of the validity of the engineers’ certificates of par. 1 of art. 83 Law 4495/2017. Until this legislative regulation is published, drawing up real estate contracts will only be possible with a certificate of electronic identity of a building or divided property, given that this provision will not have retroactive effect. 

The immediate treatment of the problems still faced by real estate lessors, without solving which it is impossible both to submit income tax returns and to pay this year’s tax obligations of property owners, POMIDA requested from the financial staff of the government, in a letter, the content of which is as follows:

Extension of the validity of the engineer’s certificate until 31.12.2021, in view of the imminent mass attendance of citizens to draw up notarial acts of transfer of real estate and the insurmountable difficulties entailed by the exclusive validity of the “building identity ” for this period, POMIDA requested in a letter to the responsible political leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With its letter, this POMIDA requested the following:

Explosion of tax burdens across the spectrum of taxes, fees and assessments on real estate will mean the application of excessively high zone values ​​of the system of objective real estate values ​​in various regions of the country, if no effective measures are taken to smooth out the tax burdens that will arise in the entire spectrum of real estate taxation, and especially in ENFIA.   

Zone prices were always a “political” size, because their goal was to be so low that no citizen would be wronged, however disadvantageous his property may be, that is why in practice they were not challenged, they prevailed and offered a huge service to the citizens and the State. Today’s stated ambition is to now be “economic” in size. But this poses enormous risks of overtaxation for large groups of citizens, among other things due to two important distortions of the assessment system, and the taxation system in ENFIA, which must be immediately addressed:

POMIDA requested in a letter to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs the immediate reinstatement of the payment of the housing allowance directly to the bank accounts of the landlords, and not to their tenants Mr. Kosti Hatzidaki and to the Director of OPECA Ms. Xenia Papastavros, in order to deal with the illegal behavior of many tenants, but also as a means of ensuring for the State itself, the achievement of of the purpose of this allowance, which is to ensure the uninterrupted housing of tenants and their families
