Nikis 5-7, 10180 Athens PRESS OFFICE PRESS SIGNED and it is expected to be published in the Government Gazette the decision of the Minister of Finance on the amendment of no. 8843 EX 2020/27-01-2020 and 18749 EX 2020/20-02-2002 of ministerial decisions “Assignment to certified appraisers, registered in the Register of Certified Appraisers in the field of real estate of the Ministry of Finance, of the drafting of a recommendation for determining the starting prices and regulation of matters related to the determination of the methodology, the documentation, the form of the recommendations and the time of completion of the work of the certified appraisers, in accordance with the provisions of article 41 of Law 1249/1982.”
The Ministry of Finance, taking into account the extremely urgent and unpredictable circumstances due to the emergence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the need to address the negative consequences of its spread of, from 03.04.2020 temporarily suspends the delivery of the appraisers’ work and the operation of the database for the electronic registration by the appraisers of the starting price and the plot value.
“It is noted that private appraisers will be compensated for their deliverable work up to and including the time of suspension, the suspension will last as long as the measures to deal with the coronavirus and their effects last, and the appraisal exercise will continue and completed in a later period within the year.
The restructuring of the framework for determining the objective values of real estate remains an important reform of the Ministry of Finance and will be promoted as normal, as it aims to fairer distribution and rationalization of the burden of real estate taxation in Greek society.
