SUBJECT: Extension of the July declaration deadline until 31.7.20. Request to continue the option to declare March-June rent reduction (COVID) in the AADE application.
Dear Commanders
As you we also emphasized with our letter of 6.7.2020, with your decision no. A 1139/2020 (Government Gazette B’ 3579) “Amendment of POL.1162/2018 decision “Submission of Payment Statement. Real Estate Lease Details online”, the implementation of the government’s commitment to tax relief for landlords who suffered a forced 40% reduction in rent due to the coronavirus has begun.
The shortest deadline but for the registration of rents for March – June which ended on 1.7.2020, it was literally suffocating both for your Service, which worked at a literally superhuman pace, and for the taxpayers of the country and Hellenism Abroad, and especially their tax experts. This suffocating deadline, combined with the absence of clear “ERGANIS” declarations in the hands of most landlords, and the fact that the initial submission of the old agreements was often a prerequisite for the declaration, resulted in asignificant number of them , and their tax experts, to not be able to submit the COVID return on time!
Also, the application for the July lease finally opened today, deadline day!
That’s why we ask you, today that you opened the July rent application:
A. Extend the deadline for the July COVID declaration, which expires today, the same day the relevant application was opened, until at least July 31st!
B. To continue the possibility of submitting a COVID declaration also for the first four months of March-June, regardless of the crediting time of the offset amount, because it would be unfair for those landlords who lost 40% of their rents to also lose the tax relief, from reasons often superior to their will.
C. End please once again please replace the inaccurate title “Electronic Real Estate Leases” on the AADE website with the correct one “Property Leasing Information Statement”, as you also expressly you clarify this from the beginning in your instructions, so that the simple property owner does not perceive the submission to the AADE of the information of a lease as a so-called “Lease Office”, with adverse legal and financial consequences to his detriment.
