As a“Christmas present” it appears that property owners will be paid into their bank accounts, at best, the refund amounts of half their loss from cut of 40% of the rents of the affected businesses and employees, and this for the following reasons:

The government today announced the reinstatement of forced rent reductions of 40%for the month of November, according to “expanded April KAD list” (almost everyone except pharmacies and supermarkets…). POMIDA notes with regret that the drawing up of voluntary rent reduction agreements, despite its correct legislation 45 days ago,does not seem to have the expected response in practice so far , under the responsibility of the State, for the following two important reasons:

POMIDA intervened to the Council of State in favor of the validity of the decision with number ΙΠEN/ DPI/ 64663/ 3.7. 2020 of the Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis “Definition of the administrative acts, the other appropriate elements, the technical specifications and the procedure for the ex officio reformation and preparation of the forest maps according to article 48 of the law 4685/2020 (A’ 92)” (B’ 2773), and against the annulment petition filed against it by the “Panhellenic Union of Public Servant Foresters”, the “Geotechnical Chamber of Greece”, and subsequently eight more organizations.
