POMIDA FOR RENT: POSITIVE THE DIRECT PAYMENT OF 50% OF THE REDUCTION, NEGATIVE THE EXEMPTION FROM EVERY FACILITY!

With this move, the government has finally accepted POMIDA’s basic request for a refund of 50% of each owner’s losses, through a direct subsidy rather than a tax offset which for those consistent taxpayers who were able to pay their tax obligations this year to secure the 2% discount would be of no immediate importance, since they would have to wait until July 2021 for the refund to be deducted from their tax obligations for the following year.

POMIDA considers it finally acceptance of this persistent request, the fiscal cost of which for the month of November was estimated at 30 million that will be charged to the state budget, as a measure in the right direction. Negative is the continued exemption of landlords with “cut” rents from all other facilitations and transfers of tax obligations, arrangements, etc. and from rent reductions for main and student housing, provided for so many other categories of taxpayers, while it has not the process of offsetting the previous mandatory reductions of the March – October 2020 period has not yet been completed, nor is the injustice against the lessors – all types of legal entities – restored.
