The extension of the current deadline, which expires on 18/01/2019, is considered necessary to avoid the possibility of citizens being faced with municipal fees, who either were not informed within the six-month deadline of the obligation to submit a statement or did not they had time to submit the relevant declaration to the relevant OTA. For this purpose, in the near future a legislative regulation will be submitted to the Parliament, which will have retroactive effect. Haritsi with his letter of 3.1.2019:
- The whole matter should be reviewed and the previous regulation of article 5 par. 1 of Law 3345/2005 should be reinstated, with a clear right for the owners to are exempt from this charge regardless of the time of submission of the declaration to the relevant OTA,
- Give a six-month extension to the declaration deadline which expires on Friday 18.1.2019, until the matter is settled as above, since a huge number of owners throughout the country, especially in the region, have not been informed of this obligation and are at risk of being faced with municipal tax charges that they are unable to pay!
- Add to this regulation the properties that do not were energized.
These issues and all the burning problems of property owners will be mentioned at the 36th Univ. POMIDA conference to be held next Saturday, 26.1.2019, at 10 a.m. in the historical Hall of the Philological Association “Parnassos”, Pl. Karytsis 8, to which Mr. Haritsis has been invited to attend.
