The Ministry of Finance announced that 645,000 offsets and payments, compensations of 84 million euros have been made to date. But as the main problem, the solution of which has finally been announced, POMIDA considers the pending 2020, which amount to 30% of the submitted declarations, and specifically about 80,000 declarations of the period March-August 2020, 90,000 in the month of November 2020 and 100,000 in the month of December 2020, and mainly concern declarations of multiple co-tenants, or for multiple rental properties, subletting, and many other problems. Statements with minor differences in the declared rent amounts, as we have been informed, will be considered correct and compensable.
For this reason, POMIDA, after informing the competent Minister and Christos Staikouras who stated that no owner will be deprived of his legal compensation, and successive collaborations with the competent Deputy Minister Mr. Apostolos Vesyropoulos and the Director of AADE Mr. >Giorgos Pitsili and its relevant officials, pointed out one by one the points where the process of declaration, liquidation and payment of the COVID compensation needs to be improved, which were accepted with the recent announcement of the Ministry of Finance, according to which:
- From today, the updated picture of branch reductions is expected to appear.
- The deadline for submitting COVID declarations for the month of January has already been extended until 10.3 2021.
- From 15.3 the AADE platform will be opened for the February 2021 COVID declarations.
- After 15.3 it is expected that compensation payments for January 2021 rents will begin.
- By 9.3 it is expected that the re-processing of the March – December 2020 COVID Declarations will be completed, taking into account the amendments to the relevant decisions.
- By 9.3 a supplementary payment will be made for the months of November and December.
- Subsequently, owners who have submitted COVID declarations and have been rejected will be sent an update by AADE regarding the reasons for rejection.
- When these owners are informed of the reasons for rejection, the AADE will re-open the platform for the submission of COVID declarations to give property owners the opportunity to correct errors for the months March 2020 – December 2020.
- Those owners who did not receive compensation because they had not updated the declarations of real estate leasing information until 15/2/2021, according to the relevant decisions of the Governor of AADE, they will be able to do so without a fine.
- By 16.3 it is expected that other offsets with tax liabilities for the months of March to October 2020.
