According to the processing of the COVID declarations by the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), for the period March – December 2020, 645,060 offsets with taxes and payments have been made of money in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, totaling 84,148,786.68 euros, as follows:

With the decision A. 1040/2021 (Government Gazette B΄ 796/28.2.2021) of the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Apostolos Vesyropoulos, following a proposal by the Governor of AADE Mr. George Pitsilis, were resolved issues related to the management of businesses with branches that have closed businesses, applying in these cases the most favorable rent reduction rate for the tenant. Landlords who have leased properties in branches will be able to see the updated picture of their leases from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday3/3/2021.
Based on the observations we received from agencies, decisions will be issued immediately that will deal specifically with management issues of COVID Declarations for property owners.
Additionally:
- Within the day, a decision is issued by the Commander of the AADE to extend the submission of the COVID Declarations for in the month of January until 10/3/2021. – Decision A.1043/2021 has already been issued and published on this matter.
- By9/3/2021 it is expected that the re-processing of the March – December 2020 COVID Declarations, taking into account the amendments of the relevant decisions. Within this period:
- For beneficiaries, a supplementary payment will be made for the months of November and December.
- For other owners who have submitted COVID declarations, it will be sent by AADE information about the reasons why their declaration cannot be accepted.
- Immediately after the completion of this process, AADE will re-open the platform for the submission of COVID declarations, so that to give the opportunity to property owners to correct errors for the months of March 2020 – December 2020. At the same time, owners who may not have updated their property lease information statements by 2/15/2021, according to the relevant decisions of the AADE Governor, they will be able to do so without a fine.
- Within the first fortnight of March, the strong>platform of COVID declarations for rents month of February 2021.
- Until 3/16/2021 strong>, further offsets with tax liabilities for the months March to October 2020 are expected to have been made.
- The first payment for the January rents is expected to held at the beginning of the second fortnight of March.
With the above actions, the Ministry of Finance and the AADE confirm in practice that they support the lessors, natural and legal persons, who responded and assumed, from the first moment, the burden they were called to bear.
