In the presence of the President of POMIDA and of the International Union of Property Owners (U.I.P.I.) Mr. Stratos Paradia was held on Thursday, March 21, 2018 at 5:15 p.m. in the “Alexandros I” room of the MACEDONIA PALACE Hotel, (2 Megalo Alexandrou St.), within the framework of the 2 th Real Estate Conference Prodexpo North 2019, the G.S. of the ASSOCIATION OF PROPERTY OWNERS OF THESSALONIKI (ENIATH) which was characterized by a significant turnout of property owners, representatives of local bodies, scientific associations and POMIDA Associations from the rest of Greece.
The President of POMIDA Mr. Stratos Paradias pointed out that property owners have become the most “vulnerable” social group , because of the tax burden today, with which real estate has been transformed from a right into a burden. He called the imposition of a supplementary tax by ENFIA a fatal mistake and reiterated that POMIDA does not ask for the abolition of taxation but for its rationalization and relief for all taxpayers.
The President of ENIATH, Mr. Konstantinos Chaidoutis, referred to the importance and contribution of private real estate to the economic development of the country, to the new objective values and to the process of the land registration that has already started for the last regions of the country. He also denied reports of mass evictions of tenants by property owners in order to exploit them through the short-term rental system.
Mr. Kyriakos Savvidis, managing director of the company “Geoanalysis S.A.”, which has undertaken the land registration of many regions of the country including the P.E. of Halkidiki, of the P.E. Drama-Xanthi and the P.E. Kastoria-Florina referred to the obligations of the owners to declare their real estate in order not to lose it, the necessary supporting documents and the procedure they must follow, while he emphasized the very important project which is currently taking place, so that with the completion of the work of the Land Registry throughout the Territory, there will be a complete and clear picture of all property rights of property owners.
Mr.Andreas Chiou, president of the Panhellenic Association of Property Managers (PA.SY.DA) referred to the lease conditions real estate in the sharing economy and statistics of this market. He referred to the obligations of property owners as well as the fines provided in case of non-compliance with the prescribed obligations.
Mr.Theodoros Siozios, member of the Board of Directors and tax expert, referred to the obligations of this year’s tax return, indicating in tables the Codes that must be filled in and corresponding examples, while he did reference also to the arrangements for the taxation of short-term leases.
Mr. Alexandros Konstantinidis, Northern Greece representative of Protergia referred to the program concluded by P.OM.I.D.A with the electricity and natural gas supply company Protergia with very preferential rates for our members.
Mr. Nikos Kehagiaoglou, insurance consultant P.OM.ID .A referred to the new arrangements of the POMIDA-INTERAMERICAN group building insurance program.
