The Minister also reiterated that the establishment of a possibility to reduce rents on a voluntary basis is expected, but also the start of the third cycle of the refundable deposit in September for businesses that were affected in the month of August (amounting to more than 1 billion).
The Minister, among other things, mentioned the following:
■ The center of gravity of decisions has shifted in the direction of strengthening the real economy of workers and businesses, mainly the middle class and lower income strata. The government will move on two axes. One axis will have to do with temporary tax reductions, combined with the coronavirus, and the other will have more permanent reductions in taxes and social security contributions.
■ Pensioners’ retrospectives they will be paid as soon as possible.
■ The advance tax reduction for businesses and professionals is a temporary measure and it will be assessed whether it will be extended for next year.
> : justify?”>POMIDA strongly protested again about the continuation of forced rent reductions, but notes as a positive fact the awareness, and soon we hope the legislation, by the competent Ministry of Finance, of the premium with a tax refund of at least 30% of the amount of voluntary rent reductions to be agreed between landlords and tenants, based on their mutual interest and the preservation of existing leases, businesses and jobs.
