The threat of spreading the corona to the population of the country and the entire planet, brings us face to face with unprecedented problems, which our society can only face if it is united. In the economic sector, the most obvious and serious consequence in the daily life of citizens is the closure by legislative acts of many categories of commercial businesses open to the public, for an as yet unknown period of time.  

It was voted on Thursday 5.3 in the Parliament and is headed for publication in the Government Gazette on s.n. of the Ministry of the Interior, with article 21 of which deletes the debts of municipal real estate fees that were confirmed due to the declaration of area differences during the process of providing a TAP certificate for the transfer of real estate (sales, . benefits, inheritance payments, etc.).  

In the press we read various reports that there is a shortage of houses for rent as a main residence, which also raises the asking rents, and that measures should be taken on this issue in favor of of tenants. Many are quick to blame short-term renting, forgetting that in this country, where there is no such thing as “social housing”, building activity has fallen by 95%, that the provision has been wiped out and not a single house has been built for tenants. primary residence, that the additional ENFIA tax forced landlords to sell off their homes, that NGOs rented a large number of homes for their programs, and that banks for years were unable to provide loans for the purchase of housing. 

The Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, met on Wednesday, 13.11.2019 with the presidents of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), Mr.Giorgos Stasinos, and of the Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA), Mr. Strato Paradia, for the major issue of the arbitrary. 

Regarding the recent statements of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Christos Staikouras about the imposition of a minimum percentage of mandatory expenses with “plastic money”, based on rental income , with an additional tax of 22% for its uncovered part, the President of POMIDA, Mr. Stratos Paradias, sent the following letter to the staff of the Ministry of Finance, in which he requested that such a regulation not be included in the tax bill under preparation…

POMIDA is asking for a solution to the problem of thousands of property owners throughout the country who suffer during the sale of their their properties, because they are first required to be forced to submit to the 12-installment arrangement and pay the first installment with money they do not have, instead of the notary deducting the entire amount, as is done for all other debts to the State. 

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Bureau of POMIDA had a working meeting with the Minister of Environment & of Energy Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, the Deputy Minister responsible for Land Registry Mr. Dimitris Oikonomou, the new President of the “Hellenic Land Registry” Professor Mr. Dimitrios Stathakis and its new General Manager Mr. Stefanos Kotsolis. From the POMIDA side, the Vice-Presidents Professors Mr. Charalambos Tsoutrelis and Dionysis Chionis, the Vice-President E.I.E. Mr. Nikos Stamatakis and the Councilors Mr. Tasos Vappas, Manos Kranidis and Vasiliki Paradia.
