VESYROPOULOU’S DECISION ON THE SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION OF OWNERS’ OBLIGATIONS DUE TO REDUCED RENTS!

The Deputy Minister of Finance Mr.Apostolos Vesyropoulos signed on 24.8.2020 the decision establishing a deduction for debts to the tax administration for property owners , who do not collect 40% of the rent as part of the measures to deal with the consequences of the pandemic. According to the decision signed by Mr. Vesyropoulos, property owners are entitled to a 20% discount on the rent received (ie 30% on the reduction or 12% on the total initial rent). The amount of the discount reduces debts to the tax administration, with a payment date after July 31, 2020.

Although there was nothing related in the original government plan, POMIDA requested that 50% of the forced reduction in residential and commercial rents legislated to deal with the consequences be returned through tax offsets of the corona virus. We finally managed to convince the government to establish and implement a process of refunding a percentage of 30% of the reduction to the owners – victims of this unacceptable policy. The ministerial decision is soon expected to be issued which will determine the procedure for carrying out the tax offsets for these “lost” rents, which were declared or will be declared on the AADE platform, with the now known “COVID declarations”.

POMIDA TO THE MINISTER: EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF REQUESTS FOR THE REFORM OF FOREST MAPS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30, 2020!

POMIDA submitted an urgent request to the political leadership of the Ministry of Forestry to extend the deadline for submitting applications for the revision of forest maps, which expires for everyone during the August summer vacation, until September 30, 2020 11.8.2020, which already responded positively to this fair request: By decision of the new Deputy Minister of Environment Mr. Nikos Tagaras of 12.8.2020, the deadline was extended by 25 days for all regions of the country!
