AADE: UNTIL THE 20TH OF THE MONTH THE DECLARATION OF DISCRETIONARY REDUCTIONS!

Decision A.1230/2020 of the Governor of AADE Mr. Giorgos Pitsilis was published in the Official Gazette, which concerns the determination of the manner, time, as well as of any other more specific matter for the submission of the “Covid Statement” in cases where an optional rent reduction of at least thirty percent (30%) has occurred. 

Article 1 of the decision states in detail that in the event that following a relevant agreement with the lessee, the rent for the months of September, October, November and December 2020 is reduced to a percentage of at least 30%, in accordance with the provisions in force to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 coronavirus, real estate lessors submit a declaration of rent change (“Covid Declaration”) for the months of September to December 2020, as the case may be.

The above statement, initial or amending, must be submitted by the twentieth day of the month to which the reduction concerns, with the exception of the months of September and October for which a submission deadline is specified until November 20, 2020. .

For the rest, for the above statements for the months of September to December 2020, the provisions of article 11 of the POL are applied . 1162/2018 of the decision of the Governor of A.A.D.E. “Submission of Real Estate Leasing Information using an electronic method of communication via the Internet” (Β’ 3579), added with article 5 of the following information A. 1139/2020 of the decision of the Governor of A.A.D.E. (B’ 2269), regarding the submission and acceptance of “Covid Declarations”.

Also with article 2 it is defined that the “Covid Declaration” for the months September and October with a rent reduction of at least 30%, submitted by November 20, 2020. Acceptance of the “Covid Declaration” for the months of September and October by tenants can be done by November 27. Failure to do so will be considered tacit acceptance. 

We remind you that in order to submit the “Covid Declaration” the initial or amending “Property Lease Information Declaration” must have been submitted by the above date, which is considered timely.
