In here Athens, 23.8.2021 SUBJECT: Rent reduction: Pending issues and proposals August 2021
Dear Mr. Ministers, Governors,
With regard to the issues that have arisen from the rent reduction, we remind you of the following pending issues, as well as our proposals for solving the individual problems that remain from the implementation of this procedure:
- There has been no official information to taxpayers regarding the offsetting of last year’s remaining compensations from this year’s tax obligations (income and ENFIA). An announcement must be issued immediately on the method and time of the offsets of last year’s compensations with the new debts, before the installment payment deadlines expire and the outstanding balance is transferred to the next financial year…
- Theopening of the platform for submitting COVID declarations for the period March-October 2020 has not been announced, which is not only our constant request but also an moral obligation of States against the citizens who were wronged by the insufficient information at that time.
- The decision for the KAD of August 2021 has not yet been issued, which creates transactional uncertainty but also friction between owners and tenants who refuse to pay the rents in advance, claiming that a reduction in the August rent also applies to them.
- It has not been announced when thecompensations of the owners will be paid in July 2021.
- It is absolutely necessary to extend a few days to the deadline for corrections and declarations of COVID which ends on 27.8, due to the inability of tax professionals to respond to the accumulated volume of tax work and obligations. li>
- Regarding lease termination declarations, an extension should be granted until the “Active Leases” option is added to the AADE Leases application, in which all leases that are considered active in the system are displayed, so that the taxpayer can easily find and declare the solution of the already inactive ones without being subject to unjust fines for it.
- In TAXISnet’s “Personalized Notifications” service and specifically in the application “Results of Processing COVID Declarations” restore the image of the 2020 COVID declarations,as they are now unreasonably displayed only the 2021 COVID declarations, which causes serious difficulties for taxpayers, both in terms of the possibility of overall monitoring of the compensations they have received and in completing their tax declarations.
