To the Minister of the Interior Mr. Panagiotis Theodorikakos

COM: To the President of KEDE Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou

Here Athens, 18.8.2020

EXTENSION OF OPERATION OF THE KEDE PLATFORM FOR UNEXPECTED & NON-ELECTRONIC

Dear Minister

As you know, it expires in a few days(31.8) the shortest extension you gave two months ago for the statement to the OTAs. of the undeclared real estate areas as well as their empty and non-electrified areas, according to the relevant proposals of our Federation.

Because this extension expires within the summer holidays, one month before the end of the deadline for settlement of arbitrary (30.9) and under conditions of difficult access and only by appointment, of the interested citizens to the revenue services of the relevant Municipalities, for the partial resolution of frequent problems that cannot be resolved through the platform. Such is mainly the correction of the areas of auxiliary areas of apartment buildings (warehouses, parking lots, etc.) that are electrified by the shared supply of apartment buildings, either these areas are not counted, or they have already been counted in the total area of common areas and fees and tax are paid for them through the electricity bill, but without TAP charge, just like the change of use of property.

Because this extension expireswithout yet that the last owner of the region of our country and of Greeks Abroad have been informed about this, by sending informative emails from the AADE to all property owners – holders of the country’s VAT number and their tax experts, as we have repeatedly asked you!

Because the unprecedented situation in which our society and our country finds itself due to the coronavirus epidemic, which to some extent continues to adversely affect the citizens and their activities, enforces the extension of all statutory deadlines for various vital issues concerning the property owners of the country and the Greek diaspora.

For these reasons we return to our request to extend until 31.12.2020 the operation of the completely successful KEDE platform in terms of all its functions.  This extension is absolutely necessary, both for the interest of the citizens, who persistently ask for it because they are unable to respond in time, and for the OTAs who, in the midst of a crisis, acquired with our proposal, a critical factor permanent increase in their income!

We also request an immediate meeting with youto submit our proposals for the further uninterrupted continuation of the operation of this platform, which should remain as a unique and irreplaceable service tool for the citizens and the OTAs, but also proof of the progress of our country in the field of digital governance!

Best Regards

The President The Secretary General >

Stratos I. Paradias Tasos G. Vappas
