PLATFORM FOR A 10% REDUCTION OF THE LIGHT OF INSURED HOMES!

Applications (initial or amending) are submitted until 22/02/2024, through the myAADE digital portal (myaade.gov.gr), following the path: Applications / Popular Applications / myPROPERTY / Reduction of ENFIA insured houses. 

It is pointed out that, according to creation of the application, policyholders can locate the insurance policies declared in their VAT number and: 

  • associate them with their insured homes (own insurance)
  • declare the tax identification numbers of the co-owners, when there are more co-owners for the insured residence (own insurance and on behalf of third parties )
  • declare the TINs of third parties who have a right to the insured residence, when they themselves do not have a right to ‘ of this (insurance on behalf of third parties).

Taxpayers, who will be included in the application as co-owners or third parties, will be informed through an electronic mail message, which will also be posted on their personal mailbox, in the path myAADE / Registry & Contact / My messages. In order to be granted the ENFIA reduction, if the conditions are met, they must submit an application themselves, in order to associate the insurance policy with their insured home. 

Citizens can be informed in particular, through the relevant list of Frequently Asked Questions & Answers as well as the User Guide of the new platform posted on the AADE website, as well as through the AADE Taxpayer Service Center: +30 213 162 1000, on working days and hours 07:30 – 17:00.  

As announced by the Press Offices of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and the AADE, the digital procedure for granting the reduction of the ENFIA for the residences of natural persons, which are insured for natural disasters, was determined by the Joint Decision A.1014/2024 of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Haris Theoharis and the Governor of the Independent Public Authority Esodon, Giorgos Pitsilis.

Especially, for the year 2024 and from now on, for the residences of natural persons who in the previous year have been insured for all three risks, i.e. earthquake, fire and flood, a 10% reduction in ENFIA is provided, as long as they are insured for the entire previous year and a proportional reduction in ENFIA in case they are insured for a period of less than a year, with a minimum insurance period of three months. 

The reduction of ENFIA granted by submitting an application to a special application on the AADE myPROPERTY platform that operates from 2/2/2024 until 2/22/2024. With the new digital application, the ENFIA reduction is granted centrally, as the details of the insured houses declared by the taxpayers are crossed with the data provided to the AADE by the insurance companies. 

The granting thereof reduced ENFIA 2024 in homes that are insured for fire, earthquake and flood, includes the following stages: 

  • Citizens, until February 22, 2024, submit an application, choosing the ATAK(s) of the insured residence, whom they associate with the available details of the insurance policy.
  • The insurance companies confirm, by March 11, 2024, the matching of the insured residence with the policy number.
  • If conditions are met, the reduction of ENFIA will take place with its first central liquidation.

It is also noted that: 

  • The reconstruction value of the residence, insured with the insurance policies, is set at 1,000 euros per square meter. However, especially for ENFIA 2024, this value is set at 900 euros per square meter, increasing residences that can be included in the reduction of ENFIA.
  • The submission of the statement of real estate data (E9) for the year 2024 regarding insured homes that acquired within the year 2023 is a necessary condition for submitting the application for the ENFIA reduction through the application. Therefore, citizens who may not see properties acquired in 2023 in the application, must check whether an E9 declaration has been submitted for them and submit this declaration before re-entering the application.
  • In the cases of insurance on behalf of a third party or on behalf of a third party, the person who has concluded the insurance policy must fill in the VAT number of the persons who have a right to the property in the application, in order for AADE to inform them by email to submit and those application until the 22/02/2024.
  • The taxpayers, who will be included in the application as co-owners or third parties,  they will be informed via an electronic mail message, which will also be posted in their personal inbox, in the path myAADE / Registry & Contact / My messages. In order to be granted the ENFIA reduction, if the conditions are met, they must submit an application themselves, in order to associate the insurance policy with their insured home.
