The President of POMIDA Mr. Stratos Paradias presented in detail the views of POMIDA both on the substance and on the process for the preparation of the National Land Registry. He particularly emphasized the need to time-limit the State’s claims on legal off-plan private properties, as has been done since 2003 for on-plan properties, to give a single extension of the declaration deadline for all land-registered areas, but also for property owners characterized by “unknown owner” of the 35 areas which were exempted by detour from the general judicial extension correction of their records. Finally, he emphasized the need for extensive information of the population, especially of the region and the Greek diaspora, about the need and usefulness of declaring assets in the land registration process.
See them on part of POMIDA’s proposals for the timely and effective preparation of the National Land Registry, in the attached memorandum.
