The new regulation, which was a strong request of POMIDA, and was included in the “Draft Law of the Ministry of Health entitled “Sanction of the donation contract between the Greek State, the Penteli Children’s General Hospital and of the co-executors of the will of Elisavet Papagiannopoulou”, provides for the following:
Subject: Authorizing provision for the possibility of extending the deadline for submitting declarations of registrable rights
A. JUSTIFICATION
Given the difficulty of citizens to collect the necessary supporting documents for the submission of registrable rights declarations, in the context of the land registration carried out throughout the Territory, with the proposed regulation the Minister of Environment and Energy is given the possibility to grant an extension of up to six (6) months, beyond the already provided three-month extension granted by decisions of the n.p.d.d. “Hellenic Land Registry”, according to the provisions of par. 5 of article 2 of Law 2308/1995.
B. AMENDMENT-ADDITION
Article ….
Addition of subsections to par. 5 of article 2 of Law 2308/1995 (A 114)
In par. 5 of article 2 of Law 2308/1995, the following paragraphs are added: six (6) months beyond the time of the extension of the previous paragraph. These decisions may have retroactive effect from the end of the previous extension until their publication.”
Individual clarifications for the above extension of up to 6 months in the collection of statements was given by the Deputy Minister of Environment, Giorgos Dimaras, after the above surprise amendment tabled by members of the government. .D. Athanassiou Boura, noted that due to the difficulties faced by citizens in several cases, especially in the region, in gathering the required supporting documents in order to register their properties in the Land Registry, the Ministry of the Interior accepted the amendment.
However, as he said, the six-month maximum extension is by no means a blanket extension. “On the contrary, it will concern very specific areas for which the minister will judge each time the existence of special conditions and problems that will make the provision of an extension, through specific Ministerial Decisions, mandatory“.
“The ministry should not give a general extension to the deadline for submitting declarations to the Land Registry, as the contracts with the Land Registry Offices expire at a specific time and extensions entail a large financial burden,” he added Mr. Dimaras.
At the same time, the PEN deputy minister emphasized that “it is imperative that citizens make declarations of their properties within the prescribed deadlines, u> to submit their declaration even if in principle they do not have all the required supporting documents and to receive a deadline for submitting the remaining supporting documents in a specific time”.
Meanwhile, The Land Registry is expected to announce that the collection of declarations in Arcadia and specifically in the municipalities of Gortynia, Megalopolis, South and North Kynouria and Tripoli is being extended until September 17 only for residents abroad and the State.
Correspondingly, for Evia and specifically the municipalities of Eretria, Dirfyo – Messapia, Istiaia – Edipsos, Karystos, Kymi – Aliveri, Mantoudi – Limni – Agia Anna and Skyros, the extension for residents abroad and the It is public until October 21, 2019. For Thassos and Rhodope the extension is valid until September 10, while for areas of Corinth until August 12. Finally, for Arta, Preveza and Lefkada, owners living abroad and the State have an extension until September 10.
