In cases of repeating or correcting a contract regarding the description of the boundaries, the name or the number of the property, as long as no other descriptive element is changed, the address and its facades, it is not required now the presentation of an ENFIA certificate. Procedure simplification in real estate contract modifications

The following Press Release was issued by POMIDA, entitled “THE PROS AND PLUSES OF ENFIA 2022”:

“In a brief assessment of the announcements about ENFIA, and without knowing the details in which we all know …who is hiding, we note the following:

The main positive elements for taxpayers of the new arrangement seem to be the following:

The reduction of the overall burden on society by ENFIA by 350 million . in relation to 2021 and 920 million in relation to 2018.

The de facto recognition that the additional property tax was a historical injustice against a broad category taxpayers who literally “killed” to pay it for eight years, and its abolition as an independent second tax within the ENFIA on the entire property.

The increase and expansion of tax deductions for broad categories of taxpayers with social criteria.  

The reduction of the basic rates of taxation of buildings and plots, if they include all buildings and all plots.  

The increase in the number of tax payment installments.

Payments for compensation from covid declarations November 2020 – December 2020 – January 2021 will begin immediately (including for those who made a covid declaration for the first time), the deputy minister said Finance Mr. Apostolos Vesyropoulos at the web conference of the Thessalonica Real Estate Owners Association (ENIATH) and POMIDA, whose work was led by the President of the Thessaloniki Real Estate Owners Association and Vice-President of POMIDA , lawyer Mr. Kostas Haidoutis, and which was attended by a large number of interested parties from all over the country.

Mr. Deputy Minister also emphasized that the compensation payments for the two months of February – March 2021 will be made by Friday, and that for the month of March the owners will be compensated without covid declarations being made in cases where there is no change.

The Government, from the beginning of the health crisis, planned and implemented a series of measures to deal with the economic effects of the pandemic and to share – in terms of social justice – the burden caused to households and businesses. Among these measures, rent reduction for affected businesses and households is included. A reduction that was accompanied by measures to support property owners, which greatly reduced the scope of their burden.

The ongoing reductions in real estate rents and the compensation of their owners, the important changes in urban planning legislation, but also the general developments in the real estate market and the country’s economy due to the ongoing pandemic , were the main topics of the 38th annual conference of POMIDA which was held and broadcast online on Saturday, 30.1.2021, with the participation of representatives of the Government, the Opposition, political parties, executives and members of its unions from all over the country.

In view of the start of operation of the “Building Identity from 1.1.2021, POMIDA informs its members and every interested building owner about the origin, route and current form of this new process which in the long run it will affect all owners of every type of building and residence in our country.

The new arrangements and procedures for the deletion of retroactive municipal property taxes announced by the Minister of the Interior Mr. Panagiotis Theodorikakos, the integrated policy of the Ministry of the Interior for the properties announced by the Minister Mr Kostis Hatzidakis and the Deputy Minister Mr Dimitris Oikonomou but also the proposal of POMIDA to the Deputy Minister of Finance and representative of the Government Mr Theodoros Skylakakis for the targeted reduction of the taxation rate of house rents by -10 units were the main topics of the 37^th annual conference of POMIDA held at Emporiko &amp ; Athens Chamber of Industry on Saturday, 25.1.2020, in the presence of executives and members of its unions from all over the country.
