The Schino disaster and all natural disasters of buildings and homes have one thing in common: Almost all buildings that burn or are destroyed are uninsured! The only possible solution to the problem, especially at a time when nature itself and climate change are constantly sending us warning messages (bad weather “Medea” and “Ianos”, deadly flood in Mandra, cyclone Halkidiki but also seismic activity throughout the country etc.) , is encouraging building owners to take out private insurance en masse.

POMIDA TO THE MINISTER: “ENERGY POVERTY”: THE UPGRADING OF OLD RENTAL HOUSES A PRIORITY TO “SAVE”!

As a basic criterion for selecting beneficiaries in the new “SAVING”, the combined criterion of preference for the renovation of old rental houses and apartments belonging to financially weak landlords and which constitute the main residence financially vulnerable tenant families, and who are currently the beneficiaries of the heating allowance.

This is what POMIDA requested in a letter from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Kostas Skrekas, because only in this way the phenomenon of “Energy poverty” will be effectively tackled, adding that the cost of fully subsidizing their thermal insulation and modernizing their heating systems will soon be balanced for the State by the fact that after that their residents will not need a heating subsidy.

POMIDA’S LETTER TO FINANCE: COMPENSATION OF LANDLORDS APRIL – MAY 2021 AND OTHER DUE DUE!

POMIDA requested the publication of the May 2021 KAD and the advance payment of owners’ compensations for the rent reductions for the months of April and May 2021 in a letter to the financial staff of the government and the AADE, recalling the existing outstanding issues in this matter.

At the same time, it requested an extension of the deadline for declaring the termination of inactive leases and reiterated its request to the negative responses of AADE, when the lessee is not entitled to a reduction, contain the self-evident reminder that he must pay the entire rent, since, in addition to avoiding legal disputes, the management’s refusal to do so leaves the owners helpless to the arbitrariness of their tenants, while the writing of this reminder will also significantly help public revenues.

ONLINE DAY: “REDUCTION OF RENTS AND PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION TO OWNERS” WITH THE MINISTER. Mr. APOSTOLO VESYROPOULO!

Payments for compensation from covid declarations November 2020 – December 2020 – January 2021 will begin immediately (including for those who made a covid declaration for the first time), the deputy minister said Finance Mr. Apostolos Vesyropoulos at the web conference of the Thessalonica Real Estate Owners Association (ENIATH) and POMIDA, whose work was led by the President of the Thessaloniki Real Estate Owners Association and Vice-President of POMIDA , lawyer Mr. Kostas Haidoutis, and which was attended by a large number of interested parties from all over the country.

Mr. Deputy Minister also emphasized that the compensation payments for the two months of February – March 2021 will be made by Friday, and that for the month of March the owners will be compensated without covid declarations being made in cases where there is no change.

POMIDA TO FINANCE: SUBSTANTIAL AND PROCEDURAL ISSUES OF RENT REDUCTION AND COMPENSATION OF LANDLORDS!

POMIDA sent a letter to the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the Governor of AADE to highlight the outstanding issues and to resolve substantive and procedural issues related to the reduction of rents and the compensation of landlords . The letter requests that all outstanding landlord corrections, payments, and compensation offsets be completed, that the AADE platform be opened for all necessary corrections and initial declarations of COVID leases and lease solutions, and that owners of sublet properties be compensated.

POMIDA TO FINANCE: PROPERTY OWNERS’ CLAIMS FOR COMPENSATIONS, INCOME TAX & DEFENSE!

POMIDA sent a letter with requests to solve ten current problems that concern property owners to the financial staff of the government and the AADE.

POMIDA requests with its letter that the payment of compensations for January 2021 be completed and that the payment of compensations for the months of February and March 2021 be carried out before Easter, that all fields be opened in the application of the AADE for the correction of errors of the 2020 period, to announce when, after Easter, the platform will be opened for retroactive corrections of payrolls and for initial declarations of COVID 2020 and January-February 2021, to issue in a single decision all the case-by-case and monthly corresponding KAD of affected and closed businesses and to solve the problem of compensation for owners with sublet properties.

POMIDA TO REGISTRY: EXPANDING ELECTRONIC SERVICES AND REMOTE CONTROL OF DOCUMENTS!

To immediately give those involved in real transactions, legal and technical representatives of citizens (lawyers, notaries, engineers, bailiffs) the possibilityto carry out remote control of the entries of the National Land Registry, from their offices, using their special identification code, so that they are not required to go each time to the headquarters of the land registry office with all the delays that this entails, so that real transactions can be accelerated as much as possible, POMIDA requests in a letter from the political leadership that is responsible for the National Land Registry. He then requests that ordinary citizens be given the right to access the cadastral records of the assets they own.

STAIKOURAS TO POMIDA: TWO MONTH COMPENSATION WITHOUT MARCH COVID DECLARATION!

The Minister of Finance Mr.Christos Staikourasinformed the president of POMIDA Mr.Strato Paradia about his initiative, together with the compensation for the month of February, to be paid to the bank accounts of the lessors within April, and the compensation for the month of March, automatically, i.e. without the obligation of the owners to submit a declaration of COVID on the AADE platform for this month.      

The Minister announced that the support measures regarding real estate leases, which applied in March 2021 for “closed” businesses, will continue in April. In particular, the owners, natural persons and legal persons who lease properties to these businesses, will be paid compensation at 80% and 60% respectively of the rent.

POMIDA TO AD. GEORGIADI: PROFESSIONAL LEASES: HOW TO SUPPORT THE TENANTS, WITHOUT DESTROYING THE OWNERS!

POMIDA’s strong opposition to any consideration of a forced extension of commercial leases due to the pandemic – which affects not only tenants but also landlords – is expressed by POMIDA in a letter to the Minister of Development and Investments Mr. Adoni Georgiadis, regarding relevant information.

POMIDA underlines that if the government insists on proceeding with taking such measures, a series of conditions should be set that will protect both the owners from the risk of returning to post-war tenements and the professionals who have privately owned professional housing from unfair competition, such as:
