Unfortunately, our fears turned out to be true and in practice it turned out that the System is unable to serve today’s accumulated transaction and as a result the traders and the others involved (lawyers, notaries, brokers, manufacturers etc) to be in real despair. Thousands of declarations to the relevant Financial Services are pending. Thousands of TAP Non-Debt Certificates are awaiting their issuance. Likewise, a huge number of Certificates, necessary for the drawing up of inheritance acceptance acts, are delayed in being issued, resulting in the corresponding delay in drawing up the relevant inheritance acceptance acts. As for the “Building Identity”, the delay in the notarial deeds of real estate transfer due to waiting for its issuance, is enormous (more than 3 months) as the engineers are unable to cope with its issuance in time.
The Coordinating Committee of the Notarial Associations of Greece (SESSE) and the Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA) as Bodies directly related to the property, we know its particularities and are direct receivers of the malfunctions in the relevant transactions that are causing unprecedented inconvenience to both the traders and the notaries. Therefore:
We ask the Greek State to listen to us and respond immediately in order to protect the smooth operation of an industry and an activity critical for economy and society, which also “brings” revenue to the State Funds: The transaction on real estate.
We ask the Government to grant another two-month extension, i.e. in total until 31.03.2022, of the framework for real estate transfers valid until 31.12.2021, i.e. an extension of both the validity of last year’s objective values and the validity of all relevant certificates and attestations, so that there is no need to reissue them.
