In particular, the question of mandatory reduction of rents in certain categories of professional leases, for businesses affected by the pandemic, for which we requested tax incentives and reliefs, for the reduction of the income suffered by the owners from the loss of rents.
Mr. Kouvelas listened to our opinions and immediately after our meeting he contacted the competent Deputy Minister Mr. Vesyropoulos, to whom he conveyed POMIDA’s institutional proposals.
As a result of the above contacts and the coordinated actions of POMIDA with the relevant Ministries, the following were achieved :
– A Ministerial decision was made, establishing a 20% discount on the tax on the rent collected, for property owners who collected rents reduced by a mandatory 40% .
– The tax relief will consist of discounts on the following debts of the owners in order: a) The income tax, the solidarity contribution, the trade fee, the tax luxury living, b) ENFIA, c) VAT, d) any other tax, fee, levy or monetary penalty that falls under the KFD.
– Also, it is expressly determined that the amount of rent that was not collected or will not be collected, does not constitute income and will not be taxed.
