THE 100% DISCOUNT CONTINUES IN MAY – 40% DISCOUNT ONLY FOR EMPLOYEE HOUSING!

The beneficiaries of this regulation are retail trade, catering businesses, businesses active in the sectors of culture, sports, tourism, transport and other businesses that are subject to restrictions measures.

The payment of reduced rent by 40% is abolished for the affected businesses and is limited only to the main residence of the employees who will be suspended from work in the month of May, as well as for the student residence of their dependent members.

Consequently, businesses that belong to the category of simply “affected”, for the which are not subject to restrictive operating measures, and have so far paid 60% of the rent, will have to pay the full rent for the month of May 2021. On the other hand, those businesses that were entitled to a full exemption from the rent in the last four months, this full exemption will continue and in May.

It is reminded that in the case of the total exemption, the owners will be compensated with 80% of the rent if they are natural persons, or 60% if they are legal entities, while in the case of reduction of residential rents by 40%, the owners – natural persons only will be compensated with 20% of the rent. All such compensation is tax-free and non-disposal.
