SUBJECT: Compensation of landlords April \u2013 May 2021 and other outstanding matters.<\/p>\n

Dear Mr. Ministers, Governors,<\/p>\n

Awaiting your response to the 10 issues we put to you in detail in our letter of 25.4.2021, regarding the rent reduction process and compensation of the landlords, and in view of the looming end of the forced reduction of rents, we ask you for the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To immediately issue the KYA of rent reductions for one month of May, and the landlord compensations for the months of April and May to be paid in advance based on the declarations of the month of March, for those categories of leases for which a rent reduction applies in the respective months.<\/li>\n
  2. To complete all pending corrections of errors, payments and offsets compensations of the lessors, even with installments of settled debts and that the AADE platform for initial declarations and corrections of the entire period March 2020 to March 2021 should then be opened.<\/li>\n
  3. The final solution to the disputed issue should finally be announced compensation of the owners in cases where, after the initial lease, a lease has been submitted by the lessee, for subletting the property to a third party (sublessee). until the beginning and during the submission of income tax returns.<\/li>\n
  4. Finally, we return to our request in the negative answers of AADE, with which it judges that “the tenant was not affected and therefore was not entitled to a rent reduction. “, to be added that: “Therefore, based on the information available to our service, it appears that the lessee is obliged to pay the entire rent.”. With this express addition that will leave no room for misinterpretation, the bad faith refusal to pay the due rents by a portion of the tenants who made unilateral rent reductions, either stating that they are allegedly affected, or completely arbitrarily and without justification, and the COVID declarations of the owners will be addressed were rejected by AADE, disputes and legal disputes will be avoided and the payment of the due rents will be initiated. Finally, writing this reminder will significantly help public revenues, while on the contrary, your denial of the obvious, will leave the owners helpless in the arbitrariness of their tenants.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
