As is known, according to par. 1 of article 40 (transitional provisions) of Law 4759\/2020 (Government Gazette 245A<\/sup>\u00a0published on 9-12-2020, it was determined that December 9th, 2022 will be the deadline to submit an application for a building permit on lots smaller than four (4) acres (4000 sq.m.) which with the valid deviations of the 24\/5\/1985 Decree (Government Gazette 270D\/85) were even and buildable, such as those that were within the zone of cities and towns and those that faced international national, provincial, municipal and community roads and in abandoned sections thereof as well as railway lines).<\/p>\n However, the passing of Law 4759\/20 coincided with the peak of the pandemic with all the known health consequences that affected the way of operation of the YDOMs and all the services of the country, the revaluation of all building materials, the energy crisis and the recent war developments, discouraged most owners from applying issuing building permits.<\/p>\n This practically means that with the expiry of the above deadline, almost all pitches with an area of \u200b\u200bless than 4 hectares will permanently lose their possibility of construction, and therefore they will be completely discredited.<\/p>\n Because this extensive discrediting of citizens’ immovable property is neither allowed by our Constitution, nor was it included in the 2019 Electoral Program of Nea Republic, we ask for the final abolition of the above regulation.<\/p>\n Because, otherwise, as we all hope, health and economic conditions will improve in the near future, we ask that extend for at least two years the deadline for off-plan construction on plots of land smaller than 4 acres which, with the applicable deviations of Decree 24\/5\/1985 (Government Gazette 270 D\/85), were even and buildable, so that they can issue a building permit for those owners who have the relevant possibility.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0At your disposal for any clarification and cooperation!<\/p>\n With special regards<\/strong><\/p>\n The President The Vice President The Secretary General p style=”text-align: justify;”>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Stratos I.
